Katy wears my boots

I'm no dedicated royalty watcher, but when I received an e-mail from Boots and woods this morning about the princess's to be love for Spanish boots, I felt that I just HAD TO write something about her. (It was not my intention to take part in the whole media hype about the royal wedding and/or to write about the couple, but as I just said: I felt I just had to do so). And I have good reason for actually doing so: apparently, Waity Katy and I wear the same kind of boots: Spanish leather boots. They are perfect for a walk in the woods or on the beach, or to go horse riding with (that's Kate, not me: I don't ride horses, to scary for a scaredy-cat like me). Some might say the boots do not look that elegant and feminine, but they are soooooo comfortable and they go with a lot of styles: on a pair of trousers or under a skirt (See pictures kate). They are perfect for every day life in the countryside.

Just Perfect

My favourite perfume Rem... the smell of it always reminds me of the seaside: white beaches, sunny sky and a bleu sea...
On the Reminiscence site, the fragrance is described as "Summer encapsulated in a fragrance".
Could it be any more accurate? With the early Summer weather we have here these days, the perfume is the final touch for the sea-ish easter weekend I'll be having!

And the Oscar goes to...

PART II

The Result

My Love of course!

Have A ...

Cocacolashes Christmas

Haddon Sundblom. I'd never heard of him till a few days ago. When browsing on the www for a joyful picture of the famous Coca Cola Christmas campaigns, I ended up at the Coke site of the web.
Initially, I just wanted to post a picture of the Coca Santa Claus (I like the vintage-looking adds) but I found an interesting article on the CocaCola website.
It is an article about the famous Coke Santa Clause. And as Christmas is almost all around (as I wrote earlier this week), I think it is the right time to write about the CCSC (Coca Cola Santa Claus).

I'm not going to recite the whole article, here is just a short listing of (what I consider to be) the funniest things about the CCSC.
1) Haddon Sundblom: the man (artist) who invented CCSC and whose paintings of the CCSC are stil an inspiration for new Coca Cola adds.
2) Santa has'nt always been the man in red with the white beard. Over time, he has had different 'shapes': he once was an elf-like figure and his clothes have had different colours.
3)The reason for the Santa- adds: Coca cola used to be considered as a beverage for when the weather was warm. So the company started a campaign with the slogan "Thirst Knows No Season" . The Coca Cola Company wanted to make clear that on cold days too, a Coca Cola could taste great. And who is better than Sant Claus (who represents winter) to embody that slogan.

My Lucky Day

Yesterday was my lucky day because of a phone call that came as a suprise to me...

Do you remember the post about the new LV-bag that I ordered (about a month ago)? Well the suprising phone call came from the LV-store.

I had to work yesterday and during my break, I noticed a voicemail message on my cell phone. I dialed 1230 (the voicemail number) and it turned out that the LV-store had called me earlier when I was working... They had some pleasant news for me. It is to say: the Thames GM had finally arrived!
So after work, I went to the store as soon as possible and... I bought the bag!
I'm so happy with the purchase and tomorrow, I will use it for the very first time!

P.s. I haven't taken any pictures yet, but I certainly will do one of these days!

The Pleasant Surprise

Here it is, the pendant that came as a surprise to me (literally and figuratively) last week. I know the pictures are very small, but I had trouble uploading them.
Oh and I changed the 'chain' itself: I bought some pearl shell pearls to make the necklace sparkle even more.

A Pleasant Surprise

Some of you may remember a post (in Dutch, June 2010) about seashell shaped chocolates. Well, it was a birthday gift from my 'godmother': she gave it as a 'pre-appetizer' for the real present. I have to say, these chocolates came to me as a surprise. A pleasant surprise that actually came in to use very well because I had to study for weeks at that time.

Well, this week, a similar thing happened. I got a birthday gift again, and it was again send to me by my godmother. This time no chocolates, but the 'real deal': the 'main' present if you want to call it that.
On the table in the living room I found a litlle present, wrapped in beautiful wrappingpaper with flowers on it (see picture above). I curiously opened it and I found a 'bordeaux' (redish colour, the colour of wine actually) jewel bag (you know what I mean? Such a bag that jewelers put jewels in when you buy them). Inside the bag was a silver necklace with beautiful pendant: a litlle sun with tiny sparkling crystals in it...

I wore the necklace today, and god, it made my outfit sparkle!

p.s. Forgot to take a picture, I will do so the next time I wear it.

the Real Deal

Part III

Here they are (finally): the 'real deal' pumps. Yesterday, I wore them for the very first time, to go to the city (Antwerp) with my boyfriend. We went to the cinema (we saw The Town, new movie directed by Ben Affleck, a great movie by the way) and afterwards we grabbed a bite at an Italian restaurant: I had a delicious pizza margarita and my companion opted for a pasta with mushrooms, tomatoes, mozarella and bacon.

P.s.:My boyfriend took these pictures. So (again): thank you very much my dear!

The Boots: with tights and a skirt.
By the way, this must be one of the most comfortable shoes ever!

(And before I forget: this time, I asked my boyfriend to take a picture. So thanks a lot my dear!)

The Real Deal

Part I

Here theye are, the boots I was talking about last week: I combined them with a pair of trousers today, but I think they also go with a dress or skirt... What do you think?
I also bought the high heeled shoes, but I haven't taken pictures of them yet.
