Chocolate
sprinkle cookies and girl talk; the ideal recipe for a nice Saturday
(after)noon.
Are you licking your lips already? Let’s make some yourself. Here's the ideal cookie recipe (from the book Verslaafd aan Chocolade - in English Addicted to Chocolate).
All you need
(for about 24 cookies)
120 g butter
baking paper
100 g brown
sugar
1 egg
220 g self-raising flour
a pinch of salt
125 g chocolate
(sprinkles or chopped; dark, milk or white; it’s all possible)
(optional: 50 g
nuts, cut into pieces)
How you m/bake
it
preheat oven
(110°C)
beat the butter
and sugar
add the egg
sift the flour
and salt onto the pastry
keep on mixing
until you get a “sticky” dough
add the
chocolate (and nuts)
Do you want
round cookies? Drop little “piles” of dough onto a baking plate*. (Keep enough
space between the cookies-to-be because the dough will “spread” in the oven.)
Do you want
(like I did) use pastry cutters to get (and eat) nicely shaped cookies? Let the dough rest
in the fridge for a few hours. Roll out the dough, cut out the cookies and arrange
them on a baking plate (*covered with baking paper or butter).
Have them baked
for about 15 minutes.
P.S. I’d say: let me
know how you liked it.
