Take a basic cake recipe, brew some chocolate icing and put some m&m’s on top of the cake once it’s cooled down and covered with the chocolate topping.

In time

A late birthday-shopping trip resulted in a diary for the year to come (2014). I know, it’s way too early to start talking about the New Year in August but the thing is: preparation is key and I’m pretty sure this pocket organizer will be of great help in planning and prepping next year.

Fairy dust

The beach of La Baule, that’s where Tinker Bell and her colleagues go get fairy dust. The sand there is so sparkling; as if it contains the famous magic powder that fairies sprinkle around everywhere they go.

Sitting on that beach I also realized: it might well be that the grass is always greener on the other side, in La Baule the beach sand definitely looks more sparkling & magic too.

Sunday wishes

What to do on a lazy Sunday, apart from sleeping till (three hours before for me, actually till for Le Boyfriend) noon, having a luxury breakfast and going to the pictures? Checking out the AW collections and making a wish list for the upcoming season, of course. What I wish for:

The hangover

Yes we can, i.e. survive the first day at work after the vacation (which was yesterday and I’m still here so at least I can). However, on this Tuesday morning I start reminiscing (already, I know it’s pathetic) to the period of relaxation and fun that has just come to an end. What I’m thinking back to? Here’s, in brief, the story of our summer holiday 2013.

Name games

We’re back (le Boyfriend and I & LV-Papillon) from the vacation, which makes me ready to start blogging again after two weeks. For now – because the don't-have-to-go-to-work-period only ends in two days – just this funny fact: my name (Elle Basi spelled backwards) on a water bottle.

That my parents named me after a water spring (yet I doubt that they took this into account or got inspired by this eau de source when picking “my” name) might explain why water is one of my favourite drinks (other than coffee and tea, of course).
